Mike Stone is President of Beaver Express Service, a regional package express/LTL freight transportation company, based in Woodward, OK. Mike is married to Lee Ann Stone, a kindergarten teacher in the Woodward Public School system. They have two children; Leslee Edwards and Brad Stone, and two grandchildren.
Mike received his BS in Business Administration from the University of Oklahoma in December 1980. In January 1981, Mike began working for Beaver Express Service. Mike also manages Stone Energy Resources, an oil and gas holdings company owned by Mike and his brothers. Mike also manages BES Properties, and Beaver Leasing, which are real estate and equipment companies related to Beaver Express Service.
Mike has been active in leadership roles in the Woodward area with his church, the Chamber of Commerce, and several foundations. He’s also involved in the Woodward Kiwanis club, and was a member of the Board of Directors of a local bank for over 20 years. On a state level, Mike has been on the Board of Directors of the Catholic Foundation of Oklahoma, the Oklahoma Trucking Association, and the Leadership Oklahoma. Mike was also involved in national trucking industry boards, serving on the board for the Middlewest Motor Freight Bureau, and actively involved in National Motor Freight Traffic Association for several years.
Mike is a member of the National Rifle Association, and is a member of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and the Woodward Rifle & Pistol Club. His hobbies include traveling with Lee Ann, attending OU football games, hunting, golf, riding his Harley-Davidson, and most importantly, spending time with his grandchildren.
